FUN Christmas week!

The Can opener, Double helix, double handstand, and Superman moves! I did these moves with Doug at lifts practice! I'm trying to upload the other three videos- I don't know if I can.

This is Christmas Devotional on Megan's projector. Some girls we invited over to watch it with brought some amazing soup, ham, and muddybuddy. It was just awesome!

So I'm in the Hinkley taking some random Christmas shots of people below me and the tree right in front of where I'm studying.

Pics of the MC where I'm studying.
The awesome statue with the snow. A lot of these pics are in front of my dorm.

 My friend Kristi in choir
 My Math108 class
My friend Chelsae in math- we survived together;)
 Me right before Country dancing!
My party that I catered for and served!

 The "Best of Show" Performance
Sarah, Claire, Paige, and I at the concert!
The totally awesome social dance with a live band!!!
Okay so this week has been kind of insane (the usual, haha)! Monday was nice and busy. It was the last day of Outdoor activities so I went to the closing party. Afterwards I had to serve ice cream as a caterer for the 200 guests for President Clark’s FHE. That was nice because I liked the people that I worked with! Tuesday was busy- I went to Marriage prep class and then walked in the cold to the temple (I am going to miss having the temple so close and being able to go every week!). Then I studied for a while in the library, President Clark held the last and final devotional for the semester which I attended with a friend. That night was really fun! I got a ton of homework done, then I went to the last ‘Abs that Rock ‘class. I was kind of sad because this is that instructor’s last semester and he is beast at teaching this class (almost exactly like Tony Horton on P90X). After that class I joined Logan and his roommates to go play volleyball in the hart. It ended up being so fun! We played volleyball for several hours until they had to kick us out!
Wednesday was a little crazy- I went to my first two classes, then studied for about 5 hours or so, then went to my other three classes. It was my last day at Choir so I said goodbye to some of the friends I made in there. That night was a ball! I went with Ashley Benson to Country Dancing- SOOO FUN! I should have gotten pics! I got thrown a couple times and really enjoyed dancing with certain guys who I can trust will not drop me in doing lifts. Thursday was busy (surprise surprise, huh), I went to my first class then performed a shift that I was terrified about doing all week (mainly because I was doing it all by myself). I said a few prayers and I can happily say that I survived! I got my party ready and perfect as you can see by the two pics I took. Warren ended up folding the napkins (Steve taught me on Monday because I didn’t know, but I didn’t have to anyway). Simon (a fellow coworker) was doing a party next door and so we worked together sometimes. The only mistake we made was forgetting to bring the plates and plate covers upstairs so Warren got pretty mad about that. But I can honestly say I am alive and okay. After that shift, I helped one of the other catering groups make 600 sandwiches for the graduation ceremony.
I had a lot of fun doing that! I then went to my last dance class where we hung out, had some snacks and danced a little. I went home then and changed into a nice formal dress. Sarah, some friends and I then went to “Best of Show”- SO good!!! It is basically one show of all of the best performances from all of the semester performances like Got Talent, battle of the bands, battle of the dance… I was blown away by some of the talent! I was especially impressed by one performance where it was entirely Campari (entirely dance lifts). I had to leave after 1.5 hours to go to the mandatory social dance formal. I’ll be honest I thought it would be stupid because some of the other ones were not that good- but No! It was awesome!!! I took a picture of it! It was a full on dance formal with an equal number of girls and guys. There was a live band of like 20 instrumentalists who were these old guys. There is nothing like dancing to live music! (It reminded me of that scene in ‘The Other Side of Heaven’ where the main guy is at that dance in the beginning at BYU). Anyways- so I danced with some handsome guys, some of which were really good!
I met one guy there who was just an awesome guy that I had met when I tried out for choir the first day at BYUI. He reminded me a lot of a friend I had named Blake- he’s Fall/Spring so I’ll see him Spring semester! I saw Darryl there (the guy in my Family Rel class who was engaged and now isn’t). He was fun to dance with and I am so glad because he is going to take me down to the Salt Lake airport next week on his way down to visit his sister. That was a fun night! Friday I went to my first two classes and then worked a shift with Simon and Taylor (two catering guys). After that I studied for a while. Then I went to a pizza party for the girls who kept their dorms really clean. Then I went to a relief society party! That was fun because we played a game where we write down the most fun part of this semester and the most embarrassing moment this semester. I concluded that my best moment was my date with Cade that ended with playing games for hours in the gardens. The most embarrassing moment was one time where a guy attempted to flip me in country dancing and only got me halfway so I was stuck there for several seconds awkwardly hanging upside down before he set me on the floor. Yeeeah, we had some fun talking about it all. After that I went home and got all pretty to go Ballroom and Latin dancing. That was alright- not as awesome as the last two night dances, but I still made It fun! I then took a nice midnight walk through the snowy gardens and talked with family on the phone- a nice getaway.

Saturday was way fun! I woke up at 8:30 and studied for three hours then went to Swing dancing where they were doing all kinds of fun dances in preparation for the lindy fest that night (a big swing performance that I couldn’t go to because I had to work). After that several of us went to lift practice for 2.5 hours as you can see the videos of some of the lifts we practiced. There were several guys missing who are these buff guys but that was okay- it was still loads of fun! Next I went home, got ready and went to work for 4 hours. It was actually not that bad of a shift like I thought. I was scared it would last a while! Heidi left halfway through it and so we were left to finish up everything (so we got some of the leftover food, they’d have to throw it away anyways). We left with just enough time for me to go home and get ready for a guy to take me out on a date at 8:30. He took me out to Costa Vitas, a Mexican Grill, where we met up with his brother and his brother’s pregnant wife (she’s so little and cute). We all talked for a while- I was really impressed with the kindness of the couple. They all just asked about me a lot and I tried to turn it back to them sometimes. The food was good though and we drove to fat cats to bowl for a few hours. I am not very good at bowling and it seems like a lot of my dates are bowling dates! We all had fun talking and laughing while we tried to bowl with mittens, our eyes closed, spinning… it was fun! Then we finished up and he took me home. It was a really fun night, but I’m not interested in him like that. So yeeeeah! That is my wonderfully crazy and insane week! One more week of even more insanity and then I am home to recover!:)

The SNOOOWWW!!!

Okaaaay! Well, now that I'm back from vacation- CHRISTMAS SEASON IS HERE!!! This week has been full of Christmas-ness. It all started on Monday morning when it snowed really hard and the tempurature got down to negative 14. I've never felt so much pain being in the cold- I honestly didn't think it was possible to hate being outside so much. Monday night I ended up working the FHE shift where I got there early and helped every one prepare to serve icecream to 100+ people. Meanwhile there were like two other parties happening at the same time so it was really busy for everyone. It was really fun though because we all finished our parties and all of us did dishes to fun music in the basement of the MC. Tuesday was good:) I went to the temple- trudged through the snow to the top of the hill. It was a great experience! Then the Choir sang "Glory to God" at devotional which was awesome! I had so much homework Tuesday night that I couldn't go to any of the things people invited me to:/
Wednesday was a crazy day!!! We woke up and I realized that none of the lights worked or the fridge or anything really! I got ready in the dark and started walking to my 7:45 class then I got a text saying that classes were cancelled until 12:45!:) I went back to sleep and got to miss my first two classes!- That was lovely. Then I went to work at 10:30- nope. That party wasn't cancelled. Classes were good that day and after several hours practicing for the choir performance, I went Country dancing---SOOOO fun! Then I played basketball with some friends in the Hart.
Thursday was my "kill the homework" day where I worked on homework for about 5 hrs. in the library and got all my homework done for the weekend. That night the practice didn't finish until after 11PM- I was a little bugged by how long it lasted because there were so many things I could have done that night. Friday was busy! I worked 10:30 until 2 and went to my classes. It was snowing a lot! I then worked out and did the choir practice that didn't go so late this time:)
That night our neighbors invited us to join them for hot cocoa, treats and watch Elf in the lounge. It was relaxing to just watch a movie and hang with those girls. Saturday was interesting- I helped the guys that I did paintball with clean up a mess that they made a while back when we led the trip. I guess we had gotten in trouble. Then I did swing and tried to do lift practice which most people couldn't go to so they had to cancel it :(. I tried to get a big group together to go to the movie out in theaters "The Saratov Approach" about the missionaries in Russia who were kidnapped. College kids are hard to get together to do things because they all have fast paced lives so only 4 people could come. But it was still nice. The movie was fantastic!!! Then two of the girls and I went to Cocoa Bean for hot Chocolate- SO good. We were going to play snow games in the park but the girls had to get home. I was a little bummed- but it did give me time to get ready for the BYUI Christmas concert performance. It was AMAAAAZING!!!!! The concert was just so incredible to be a part of. Nathan Pacheco, an LDS singer (Mormon version of Josh Groban) was fantastic!!! The whole percussion symphony played. There was a full bell Choir, dancers, then the Men and Women's choir, and University Choir. It was just unbelievable- something I will never forget. When I got home, Megan and Katie made sugar cookies with me. They didn't really turn out- all the shapes looked a little distorted, but it was really fun! We then watched "The Polar Express" on Megan's projector. It was real fun:) Today I played my violin in church prelude, opening song, and closing song like my dad does. It was such a nice opportunity to help invite the Christmas spirit into the meeting. YEAAAAH! Life is good- 2 more weeks- I can't believe it!!!
Really snowy outside!- It hasn't stopped snowing for days!
These are some pics I took of the Choir performance practices.

 Our Christmas-y dorm!!!

 My roommates:)

Our "sugar cookie attempt!" If you haven't already noticed- us poor college girls who don't own a rolling pin made one out of the cardboard roll that we had from an aluminum foil roll- it actually worked well;)

 Our 'projectorized' Polar Express movie!

Thanksgiving break at the Bohn's!!!

Weeeell! Thanksgiving was so much fun:) I just hung out with the Bohn family (Sharisse's family, Trina's family, Spencer's family, Grandma, and Grandpa). We had a massive Thanksgiving feast which turned out to be delicious! There literally was an endless amount of food. That night, Brandon, Sharisse and I went Black Friday shopping until 1 am and watched christmas movies until 3 am. Sharisse and I then went back out at 10am until 3pm ending our shopping spree at Cafe Rio. Saturday was fun because Brandon, Brianna, Lauren and I went fishing(or tried) but we didn't catch anything :/. It was still fun tho! Brandon and I also got some awesome 1$ ugly Christmas sweaters at a thrift shop. Every night was crazy- we played games with the little kids which I really miss(the innocence, it has been a little while). We always had some yummy treats and we watched bunches of cheesy Christmas movies. Saturday morning was Brooklind's baptism which was so special and memorable. Grandpa was able to be there to help give her a blessing and talk to us afterward, but then he was admitted to the E.R. We are so grateful that we spent Thanksgiving in Idaho Falls so that grandpa could be okay. I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving:) It made me appreciate my family that much more.

 Thanksgiving dinner!!!
