I guess the party never stops! It's snowiiiiiing!:D

This is my science class. I figured that you never get to see what my classes may be like.

Man...this has been such a fun week! It's been one of the funnest so far:D Soooooo, I suppose ill start at the beginning. Monday- I did a health evaluation that is free here where nutritionist people tell me what I need to do to eat better. I just need to eat more I guess and then eat less sweet foods :/. Then I met an instructor who teaches fitness and runs marathons a lot. He gave me some helpful advice that I appreciated. He even invited me to go to one of his classes (I did go, and it nearly killed me- it was a weight training class. KILLER. I think I'll take it next semester). I also grabbed some groceries. That night we had FHE which has been okay lately, but we did something different this time! We played games at the guy's game room for a while and ended up deciding to play 'Murder in the Dark' in the guy's apartment. It was so fun!!! So fun that we played it for nearly 2 1/2 hours. This game is where we each pull cards from a deck and whoever gets the joker is the murderer. Then we turn the lights off and in this little area everyone wanders around. The murderer simply has to take his finger and swipe your neck for you to die. If you have been killed you fall to the ground. Once a living person steps and finds a "body," they yell "body!" and we turn the lights on to find who died. Then we take a vote on who we think it is, if the person we select admits to being the murderer, then the round is over. If the person is not the murderer we keep playing over and over until the murderer is found. Sometimes the murderer was so good at faking us out that they won by being one of two left. We added scary music to the game, strobe lights (flicking the flashlight on and off randomly) and Jordan had a camera that could video tape in the dark, so it was absolutely hilarious to see people die- haha, sounds morbid, I know. So that was a total blast.
On Tuesday I did a ton of studying, then I sang in the Women's choir- always such a wonderful experience. That night was abs night and I did the bicycle for a while for a workout. On Wednesday, I went to my many classes, worked on homework, worked for 2 hours (again- I LOOOOVE MY JOB!!!). Then I went Country dancing for 3 hours. That was fun, but I wish more guys went. There are usually all the guys in the middle with girls and then about 50 girls on the sidelines that didn't get asked to dance. I am sort of reverting back to asking guys again because I found that if I don't I only get asked like 2 times the whole night. Thursday- I studied for hours for a math test. It took me 2 hours to take the stupid test that I got an 80% on. Yeah, I'm fine with whatever I get just as long as I can say that I did my best. That night I was feeling sick (head cold and sore throat), so I skipped dance and went home to sleep. I woke up to peanut butter cookies my roommates made and finished watching 'Titanic.'
Friday was insanity. I am so glad I got through it since I was still trying to partially function. I went to my two morning classes, worked for 4 hours, then went to choir. After choir, I got together a group of altos and sopranos willing to stay and practice with the men. The Men's choir instructor was beyond thrilled. Most of the songs we sing with the boys, we just don't practice with them. It was SOOO FUN! My friend and I were the only sopranos, so it was so fun to hold that super high part together as only two people. I also had many guy friends in Men's Choir. I loved hearing tons on manly voices- we aren't used to practicing this music with them. After the practice, I met three other guys (Zach, Aaron, and Martin) who I was leading the paintball trip with the next day. We all prepped the cases of paintballs and picked up the vans. I felt very feminine in my black dress in contrast to these guys haha.
I was going to meet Ashley Benson and a good friend I had made in Math class to go out to dinner. I told the guys that I had to leave so they started teasing me that I was going on a date. They dropped me off in front of the Snow building though which I appreciated. Ashley and I walked to Sammy's and met Chelsae there. It was such a fun night! We had dinner and some amazing pie shakes (my most favorite food- pumpkin cheesecake pie shakes). Then we walked 15 minutes to 'Fat Cats' where we saw 'Thor 2' the movie. It was AWESOME! I liked the movie a lot, but I will say that even more than the movie I loved having some girls I enjoy talking with who respect me and my ideas. I don't enjoy that pleasure very often. After the movie we "attempted" to walk home (it had gotten extremely cold very fast) and I felt really stupid in my dress all of the sudden. But a nice couple stopped and drove us all home -I love Rexburg people, they are so kind. Well, my friend Cade texted me and invited me to play games in the gardens at 9:30 PM and bring friends. So I invited people and Austin Lange showed up with some of his friends and I also invited Chelsae. We met at the guy's apartments and walked to the gardens. There was about 20 girls and 5 guys--- :/     So playing sardines was a little hard because the girls wouldn't stop giggling and making noise. We then played zombie tag with glow sticks- that was so fun! I really like Cade- he's so positive and is so good at carrying conversation. I'll get off my mission right when he does so I know one person I will know when I get back. Well, it started to snow hard and we went to the guy's apartments at midnight for hot cocoa. What a fun night:) I made it back to my dorm sprinting through the snow by 1 am curfew barely.
I woke up to go to a 'Gateway Seminar,' a class we have to take for Math 108. There was a blanket of snow everywhere! After the Seminar, I packed my stuff and headed down to the Outdoor resources center where we were getting everything ready for paintball. I didn't mention that my voice worsened the night before into a raspy croak, but Saturday morning I literally had NO voice whatsoever. How embarrassing. I have decided that I would rather lose a limb than be unable to talk and communicate with people the rest of my life. So I could only help so much, Martin had to talk for me a lot. Well, I guess even more people had signed up the night before, so we had to get another van. I reeeally didn't want to drive before, but now I was terrified because ice was all over the roads!!! I would be in charge of 12 lives other than my own and I had never really driven in such conditions before, but there was no one else to do it. I was praying the entire way there. God was with me- I was so grateful.

This is all after the crazy snow Friday night! The whole campus had a feeling of excitement:)

Martin is in the white, Zack is in the camo.
 Me ready to fight!!!

We got there and paintball was so fun!!! There was several inches of snow everywhere, so that was crazy. We had masks and guns. If we got shot, we had to put our hands up and walk to base. One game we played included capturing a flag. In that game I was hiding behind a tree and some idiot thought it would be funny to shoot me over and over rather than just once. That hurt, I got paint all across my body and leg. I had never done anything like this before so it was fun:) Martin, one of the volunteers was unusually kind to me. I don't know whether it was because he felt bad for me or because he's just a nice person. Well, after freezing to death and shooting people fore 2 hours, I prayed the whole way back. The lord was with me I am certain.

When I got home that night, I did homework for several hours. I had a date with a guy named Logan. I was a little nervous because my voice was still entirely gone and most of dating consists of communication. He has an interesting personality as well- but no, it was SO FUN!!! We tripled with two other couples and went rock climbing. I told him I was sorry about my voice, and he told me he was just impressed I was still going in my condition. I would never miss the party ;) Well, I actually had so much fun climbing- I would do it every day if I had the opportunity! After climbing, we joined one of the other couples and picked up two boxes of ice cream from the store. Then we went back to the guy's apartment and had a competition making ice cream sculptures! We carved with spoons and knives. It was so fun! Logan and I carved an Easter Island head. Sam and Tabatha carved a house and then a cool looking dog. We ended up eating the entire thing! Then we played Mario for a while which was fun. Then right before midnight Logan walked me home. Even though I could barely talk the entire night, he was so awesome about it. Yes...life is awesome if you make it awesome!!!:) I can officially say now that I love it here. This week I feel like I have some closer friends.

 Sam and Tabatha.
MEE! I climbed to the top!

BUSY and FUN!

AWESOME WEEK!!!:
Okay, so this week was busy!- surprise, surprise, huh. Monday I studied like crazy and then got an awesome work out in at the gym! Their facilities are so great. Tuesday was such a wonderful day. I went to classes and did some more homework, then I went to the Devotional luncheon. That was such a wonderful experience. There were like 8 of us BYUI students there. We were all trying to figure out how we got selected out of so many students. The lady told me that the higher up administration selects students that they think are great and then out of those selected, they randomly choose different groups of people to come to eat a Devotional luncheon with the President and the speaker.
I felt so honored to be there! I have served the Devotional luncheon before and so it was so weird to be served by Warren (my boss, who was super surprised to see me there, heehee) and one of my co-workers. Well, I asked President what he liked most about his job. He explained that he loved seeing small ideas come to life and become something awesome. I really loved listening to the speaker talk to us because he was so wise and smart (brother Egan from the Young Men General Board). In the middle of our meal which was so tasty-turkey with a stuffing filling!-the fire alarm went off. It was so funny- we had to evacuate the building for like 5 min or so.
After the Luncheon, we followed the guy in charge to where we sat on the stand. I was suprised later during country dancing when several guys asked me how I got to be on the stand. I didn't think anyone could see me up there! Anyways, it was such a great experience I won't ever forget. Brother Egan spoke about humility which really hit me. I decided I would be much kinder to my roommates. I worked out with a friend that night- we went to an abs class with an instructor that was so intense and awesome. He was so cool! It snowed when I left the gym. It was coming down hard and there were several peopl out there in the snow and I realized that there are some people who have never seen snow before;)
Wednesday is my crazy day when I have 5 classes. I studied the 4 hours in between at the library. That night, a girl I sit next to in Women's Choir invited me to go to "Mary Kay" where she works and have a facial demo. I had so much fun! She picked me up and we went to the place and I got a relaxing facial. Then us people who demo-ed received free prizes. I got a cool lip gloss and they had treats. I actually REALLLLY liked their products. I think I know what I might want for Christmas. After the demo, I dressed up and went Country dancing. It was real fun- I saw my friend Daryl there, and some of the guys from lifs practice that did some of our crazy tricks. It ended up being super fun!
Thursday morning, my marriage class was cancelled, so I went to the temple. I could not be more grateful to have a temple right next to campus- it is amazing. The spirit is so strong and you always leave feeling peace and joy! I studied hard core in the library that day,  I went to a wellness workshop also where I learned a lot about planning work outs, and then did a dance lab that night (for social dance class, we have to use what we have learned and dance with 5 people). Theeeeen, I went on a date. The guy I went out with is Brent- he took me bowling! It was really fun! We did different tricks with bowling like with our eyes closed, spinning, on our stomach...my only strike that night was the one I did with my eyes closed! I was way excited about that;) We then went to cocoa bean, shared 2 cupcakes and had hot cocoa (mine pumpkin flavored) and talked. He's such a great guy, but I really want us to be just friends:)
Friday morning I went to classes and then went to the Wellness center where they did an all around check up on me. I learned that I am fit and healthy- I just need a little better eating habits and I'll be set. I am off the charts for sit ups, push-ups, and running! Sooo, I was glad to learn all of that. I buckled down and studied for 2 hours for a Science test. I haven't done well on the past two, but I totally killed that test!!! A 97%!!! I am so thrilled! It's possible to do well in that class:) I studied for 4 more hours after the test and got all of my weekend homework done.
They were playing "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" in the food court, so I went with my roommates to see that. It was a fabulous movie! It was okay being with my roommates. We just aren't very close, which is sorta lame. But my friend Cade came for the last 15 min of the movie and we talked for like an hour after that. He's a good friend:)
On Saturday morning I got up at 6:30 to go to work. I had such a blast working with my co-workers, they're awesome people, they make me laugh and we just have so much fun! I really like being with a guy named Jancen, he is so awesome! We were catering for a party celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Spori building. We worked until the party left at 10:40ish. We had 20 minutes to clean up everything, put everything away, and get to the Spori building where they were having the 125th Anniversary picture.Heidi told us that we could wear our Catering outfits. It was a mad sprint to get everything done, we sprinted to Nate's car and dashed to the place where the picture was taken and got there with like 1 minute to spare! We all jumped on each other's backs to be seen in the picture- but it was so fun! We all walked back and changed, then I joined Cade in line for the free "after photo" Potato bar. We had lunch and talked a while. I then ran to the end of the swing practice where I danced with some guys for 15 minutes- SO FUN!
I then threw my stuff together and joined the Outdoors Activities crew and we drove to the Grand Canyon Hot Springs about 30 min. away. It was such a ghetto place, but I really liked it. The water was really hot and relaxing. We all just hung out and talked. There was even a deathly-freezing water area that you could go into, so we all made sure that everyone went into it. After that we had cookies and headed back. I got back, changed and went to the adult session of Stake Conference. Then I invited the two guys I had hung out with the week beofre at the caves to go with me to Battle of the Bands. Only one could go, so I met him and another friend who was with a guys friend. We had so much fun!
There was a bunch of bands who performed some great songs like "Kiss by a Rose," "Eye of a Tiger," "On top of the world" and other fun songs. All four of us rocked out! Then there was a dance party after the concert for an hour. All of us partied and had a total blast dancing. After it was over, Logan and I said bye to the other couple and he walked me home. He then asked me out for next weekend. We shall see how that goes. SOOOO, yeah- that is my week of pure wonderful insanity. Stake conference was today which I really enjoyed:) We are going to a ward potluck which should be fun in one hour.
ABOVE=My awesome catering team for the day!!! Jancen, Me, Brooke, Lyndsey, and Nate- picture taken after the 125th Anniversary picture was taken.
BELOW=Hot Springs picture! The water was naturally heated and I'm pretty sure the water was natural too, but it looked like a pool;) Really fun!

Halloween AWESOMENESS!!!

Weeeeell, this week was crazycrazycrazy. Monday, I did a ton of homework, went to my outdoor discovery meeting where we had to find a treasure on campus with a GPS system. I was paired with two boys and we searched the entire Austin building and NEVER found it until someone told us it was in the bushes behind a different building entirely! I also catered for an FHE group serving ice cream and worked out at the gym hard core.Tuesday I got a ton of laundry (our dorm won free laundry because we have had good clean checks!) and grocery shopping done. I also worked for a while doing catering set up for the catering fair the following day. That night, I joined Emma Elizondo, a friend from New Mexico and went to her ward's Halloween party since ours wasn't having one. It was so fun! I was a cowgirl. We had icecream, socialized, had a costume contest, a Pumpkin carving contest and a donut eating contest. I joined two other guys and we did the donut eating from a string contest which we won!!! The guys gave me the prize- a bag of almond joys---heaven.
Wednesday was insane but still fun! I had my many classes (math class got cancelled, what a relief!), catering fair-which consisted of all of us doing the whole "costco sampling" thing where we convince the people that came to have us cater their events ans sample our food. The food was so good! We all snuck some when we had the chance;) That night was the choir concert which was great! I love being a part of a choir that is so amazing and the instructor is so fun. It was so fun to see Sara in the audience for me.
After the concert, I went country dancing which is way fun. The guys there really know how to dance, but I really need to get better so that I can be at their level when I dance with them. Thursday was HALLOWEEN!!! I did lots of homework andwent to a party for my dance class dressed in my orange formal as a costume. I decided right then that I was not wearing that for the night, so after the party, I changed into my cowgirl outfit! We all then went to the Halloween DANCE!!! Sara and I went to the haunted sppok alley which turned out to be disturbing and gory. bleh. And creepy- a clowwn was following us the whole time! The dance was so fun though! I met Daryle, a friend of mine who really knew how to swing dance! I also hung out with Cole alot! We had so much fun!

My "Jessie from Toy Story" outfit!

Katie getting Sara's eye makeup ready;)

 Our "fireplace"!

After dancing a ton, we waited in line for the second spook alley where we had to get into a canoe and cross the river stix (the hart pool) while zombies try to tip us over. I got SOAKED when a zombie jumped from the diving board into the water next to me.
After the Halloween party, we all piled a ton of us into a car and went to Mcdonalds for a treat! I ended up getting home 10 min after curfew- oops;)!

Katie and Megan all snuggled up in their make shift bed, couch thing;)

Ill have more pics later, but on Friday night I went to a friends house where we ate pizza and cinimon rolls and watched Wrold War Z! I then went Latin dancing where there are a ton of mexican dancers who are GOOD at dancing! THEEEEN, I did the midnight 5k!!! It was so fun! I got 3rd place for the girls and so I won tickets to "battle of the bands" next week!
Saturday was so chill because I did 6 hrs of homework on Friday. I went swing dancing for 2 hours and then went to my favorite class of all time!!!- Lifts and drops practice- where we all learn crazy flip, drop, spin, catch moves that we can do at dances. It was so fun!!! These huge buff guys throwing me around like I'm nothing! This was 2 hours....Theeeen- the two guys I met last week who bought me hot cocoa and churros invited me to go caving! SO at 6pm, we met in a parking lot (like 25 of us) and drove really far out to the caves. This pic is of me and this girl in the back seat of a pick up rockin out to music.
When we got there, everyone piled into the pick ups where we drove crazy fast over sand mounds and bumps until we reached the caves. The caves were amaaaazing. I was soooo glad I brought a flashlight because we climbed over sharp slippery rocks and boulders for a long time. A girl and I wrapped our arms around each other for balance all the way there! When we reached the end of the cave we all broke hundreds of glow sticks and sprayed the glow all over the rocks, ceiling, walls, and ourselves. It was beautiful- like throwing star dust every where. I'd compare it to the "Space mountain " ride at Disney land.
Well, we all played sardines in the dark. All of the lights were off so it was a crazy experience trying to climb over all the piles of slippery rocks! It didn't help that they always hid like deep in a hole or a crevasse. I talked  with a  guy named James alot of the time- he was cool and helped me sometimes over the rocks because I had brought really bad shoes. We all left and hiked all the way back. This time though, I joined the crazies in the back of the pick up and thought I was going to die because the truck was going to fast! We made it though and everyone got in their cars and left. One of the guys who invited me brought us to Kiwi Loco (Him, his roommate, and I) where we had some delicious frozen yogurt. We played a board game in their lounge and they walked me home. They were awesome guys that I got along great with! Today is daylight savings and I should probably get ready for church. Needless to say- this week was so fun!!! I loooove it here- i am so happy:)
